Parity X Universal Rules

Ok, so before you go gallivanting all over the site with misinterpretations, false pretenses, and probably a complete lack of real interest, allow me to set forth some basic rules and guidelines.

  3. Other

Rules

The number one rule is simply to not make a problem of yourself. I don't expect this, but I feel it needs to be said anyway. The following is how you can follow rule #1.

  1. Don't flame anybody. The only time a member should ever get flamed is when they fail to obey rule #1. Then and only then can that person be flamed BY AN ADMIN OR MODERATOR. Really, we don't need anyone to chime in with us when we're reprimanding someone. The Admins and Mods have the jobs they do for a reason.
  2. This being said, always respect the decision of a Moderator or an Administrator. Seriously, though we may not act like it, we do know what we're doing. If you feel an unfair punishment has been given, contact an Administrator. They'll sort it out, but their word is final.
  3. Remember your forum ettiquite. That means not doing things like: double posting, posting in a dead thread, going off topic in a thread, posting things that should be sent via private message, and things of that nature. Bumps are acceptable in most circumstances, but try to avoid those NINJA BUMPS by any means necessary.
  4. Suggestions are welcome. Complaints are necessary sometimes. Whining, however, isn't going to get you anywhere.

Guidelines

These are a few guidelines for Parity X life. Follow these and you'll enjoy your experience- guarunteed.

  1. If you have a problem with some salty language, you might as well just turn around right now and go back to your AOL panel. Yes, people here are going to swear. This is the internet and we'll have this. At Parity X, we don't believe in censorship, so grow up and deal with it.
  2. This being said, however, you don't have to be a classless idiot to fit in. We try to maintain the reputation of being intellectual and your good sense will help us preserve that. Just be yourself and you'll fit in just fine.
  3. Another thing to keep in mind is that you should try not to be shy. Nobody is going to be upset with you for being active on the site.
  4. We like original content. Post as much of it as you can.
  5. RESPECT the opinions of other members. Remember, this is the internet. People from all over the English speaking world are going to be here, so you can bet some people are going to view the world differently than you. One of the things we're trying to accomplish with Parity X is to expand your horizons. Keep an open mind and remember that you aren't better than anyone else here.
  6. Don't be put off by the long list of angry-sounding rules and guidelines. For the most part, we take nothing very seriously (except the site itself). It would be wise to do the same.
  7. Donate. Money. We'll love you forever.
  8. Advertise to your friends (if you have any) and other places on teh internetz. We're trying to expand and we need your help.

SO, YEAH...

This is Parity X. Some other important things are the following:

*Chan'tards and ones with the lulz are welcome, but follow the damn rules, ok?
No furry shit.
We WILL make jokes. About things you may love. About you. On the boards. It's your job to know how to take it.

Balance, equality, internetz... that's what we are. Someday, we'll be the coolest web community ever. I hope you're with us when that day comes.
